EAGLE Assessment

Seagull and Direction

A worthwhile assessment is a powerful learning tool and not simply a test. An assessment determines what you know now (emphasis on the learner), while a test measures if you know enough to pass (emphasis on the subject). A personalised (as opposed to group) assessment helps you identify your individual strengths and weaknesses, so that you can plan your education better.

In a control experiment involving two groups of 30 students each, taught the same material by the same lecturer, the group who were mentored with the assistance of EAGLE performed 60% better overall than the control group. In the final analysis, the top 25 performing students were from the EAGLE group.
In 2008, Digix conducted over 400 student assessments. Every one was analysed individually.

EAGLE Assessment Software

Assessment and meaningful education are closely linked. Without assessment, it would not be possible to measure a learner's strengths and weaknesses, nor would it be able to determine the success of a training program, or a lecturer.
At Digix, we place a heavy emphasis on student assessment. Our EAGLE software suite uses adaptive techniques to ask individuals "just the right questions" to make them think. Developed by ourselves, over sixteen years, it is an unparalleled educational tool. We use EAGLE as a powerful learning tool on most of our courses, and the indication is that EAGLE will significantly enhance the retention of skills of a learner (a typical improvement of between 40% and 120%). It is no wonder that Digix students perform well above average in international exams.
